Today's consumer society dilemma-
In order to watch Netflix on TV, we have to disconnect the laptop from the docking station, bring it to the TV, attach the HDMI cable, then find the movie/tv show. This could all be solved by buying a new DVD player that has Netflix on it. No more lugging the laptop around, no more cables. But I can't decide if buying a new DVD player (to replace the perfectly good Blu-ray player we have) is a brilliant idea that can masquerade as an anniversary present to each other or is the most self-indulgent and wasteful purchase I'll ever make.
Maybe I could accidentally drop the DVD player...
